China Gives Secret Order to Attack Major House Churches

By Ethan Cole|Christian Post Reporter

The Chinese government has reportedly issued a secret directive to crack down on at least several major house churches in Beijing, a U.S.-based group reported Tuesday.

ChinaAid Association, a religious freedom group with a focus on house churches in China, was informed by sources inside the country that the public security bureau has ordered the Beijing Huajie Plaza to terminate its rental contract with the Beijing Shouwang house church.

The Shouwang house church is one of the largest house churches in the area with more than 1,000 members. For a few years now, it has rented two floors for worship service and Sunday school at the Huajie Plaza. Most of the members are intellects from nearby universities.

This is not the first time authorities have pressured the church. Last May authorities raided the church and most recently in April, government officials forcibly shut down Shouwang Church’s Web site.

Reports of similar pressure to prevent church gatherings at other Beijing house churches have also been reported this month, ChinaAid said.

In mid-August, government officials disrupted a house church’s baptism service at a river in a Beijing suburb. And the training school of another house church was raided and then banned by authorities.

ChinaAid president Bob Fu believes the recent intensification of crackdown is taking place to prepare for the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party.

“The upcoming 60th anniversary of the CPC is not cause for trampling on rights of peaceful citizens gathering in accordance with their right to religious freedom,” Fu said. “ChinaAid urges the Chinese government to revoke the secret directive, which is contrary to international covenants signed by the CPC, to acknowledge the positive societal influence of these house churches, and to allow these churches to meet freely throughout the anniversary period.”

Media reports indicate the Oct. 1 celebration promises to be as grand as the Olympics ceremonies, and will include, among other displays of strength and prosperity, extra-stretch limousines, according to the Los Angeles Times.

    owlafaye,

Thank you for speaking against us. God bless you. Please join us and feel the presence of God, which is sweeter than anything you have sensed. You do us and God a service by persecuting. You make us stronger and holier with your persecution. You are less than powerless against us. You can only increase our numbers by joining us or make us stronger by persecuting us. Your action makes you a servant to us, which I thank God for. He really does place our enemies under our feet. Do not merely stop there -- increase the degree of your persecution and do what you can to make martyrs of us. By doing such you will become even more the embodiment of the blessing described by Christ, join us and taste and see that the Lord is good. We are more than conquerers -- we will battle for our kingdom. If you gather but one thing from this message, let it be this: we are in the hands of the Almighty God and no one can take us from His grasp. We are invincible.

1)So you DON'T have a citation for your sources.
2)A straw man is when I claim you said something (which you did not)which is easily refutable; able to be knocked over like a scarecrow. I asked if you had a citation for your sources, and that was the extent of my post. Try again; there was no straw man there.
    3) The way I really know that your post is not worth considering is by your liberal use of ad hominim attacks, the last resort for someone who has invented an entire argument out of whole cloth and has been found out.

I urge you to open your heart and your mind to the Spirit. Jesus is knocking; He loves you and wants you as His bride, and I want you as my brother. Your postings betray your fear and your pain. In Him, there is no mo fear; and He will ease and lift your pain. Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened.

I do know Daniel Paul, that most prominent people under indictment and trial...with a great prospect for conviction, "accept Jesus" with regularity. I do know that Christian ministry in the prisons do not support good conduct reviews unless you have "accepted Jesus". The old "MY way, or the highway" is instituted with the traditional clear conscience that characterizes a bigot.

The Roman Catholics adopted a policy of not evangelizing long ago. They decided that living a life that was a good example was more effective. They were correct and when someone tries to join their church they are put through a rigorous instructional regime. A consequence is that "converts" are more fanatical and convinced than born Catholics.

Christian evangelicals could take a lesson or two fronm their mother church. I wish they would, it would get all the whack heads and goof balls off our street corners and contribute greatly to improving our economy in that the fools and suckers would stop sending their money to the TV evangelists that you took off the air.

If your churches are ever taxed as appropriate, your movement will further fall apart at the seams because money, the root of all evil, is firmly planted in your faith.

There are two states in America where the percentage of non-believers is just under 30%...the growth of non-believers in America gets along at a good clip simply because people have become tired of the nonsense and intrusions of Christianity. This is good...very good.

It is very revealing to know that a MASSIVE amount of posts at this website are removed because they are so called "deemed" inappropriate. In actuality, there are so many holes in your faith, dogma, beliefs and Bible fantasies...that moderators must CENSOR anything that the rest of you can't seem to handle. And that is a lot.

Christianity deals out a lot of censorship, you know it, you squirm when your attention is called to it, and you revert to further denial when it is presented to you.

Censorship is denial and the first refuge of a coward.

The rest are Christian " There may be some Christians in prison, but they were converted after they got there. True Christians don't break laws, kill, steal, cheat, sell drugs or anything else. What the prisons ARE full of are muslims. Criminality is their life style, their religon requires them to kill "infidels". Action speak louder than words. Those in prisons are NOT doing the will of God, but of their father, the devil, just as YOU are in your evil post. Bet Daddy Lucifer is proud of you. You are the kind spoken of in the Bible who will be turning on your believing family members and neighbors, turning them in to be beheaded when the antichrist take control, then at the end of the Tribulation.....it will be your kind who are crying out for the rocks to fall on you to hide you from the wrath of and Angry GOD. China understands the detrimental effect most churches have on their people. This is good. They are keeping a tight rein on what a church can do. This is good. They in no way want the Fundamental Christian type of behavior in their country. This is good. England and most European countries feel the same way. In England Christians are referred to as "nutters" and the government keeps a quiet check on their activities. The Christian nutters in America comprise a large segment of our prison populations. By the way, there are less than 1/10th of 1% atheists/non-believers in prison. The rest are Christian in high 90's percentage. It is essential for America to focus on comtaining religion in it's churches and outlawing public displays of religion. In addition, taxation would seriously undermind this dangerous evangelization trend we see in America today. Like me, I suggest you put signs on your gate that ward off Christians on any mission and makes sure they realize they are not welcome. The Christians should stay in church, off the streets and away from our children.

Sadly, this is nothing new in China. They have been persecuting true believers for many years. I highly recommend a book called "The heavenly Man" which is the story of Borther Yun, who is a devout follower of Jesus Christ and who was persecuted and nearly killed by the Chinese Gov for his faith and refusal to turn away from Jesus. He is now living as a free man in (?) France. He has a book called "Living Water" that is absolutely awsome.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Lord, may your church in China be blessed and strengthened by this persecution, and Your Name be glorified among the people.
