2018 Audi S4 Release Date, Specs, Price News: Sports Sedan Available This Spring for $51,875

Audi USA has announced pricing and availability for the 2018 S4, the high-performance version of the A4 sports sedan. It is equipped with dynamic components and benchmark technologies that enhance the overall driving experience.

The 2018 Audi S4 will arrive in dealerships in the spring. It will be available in two variants: the base Premium Plus, which has a starting price of $50,900, and Prestige, which will be sold for $55,800. There will also be an additional $975 charge for destination and handling.

The high-performance sedan is powered by the all-new 3.0-liter TFSI V6 engine that has been reengineered to deliver more horsepower and torque. Power output is now at 354 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This allows the 2018 S4 to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in 4.4 seconds.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with the Quattro all-wheel drive system.

Audi has also given the 2018 S4 a new front and rear suspension to give it a sportier feel. However, customers looking for more enhancements can avail of the S sport package that includes a sport adaptive damping suspension with a new control unit and red brake calipers. Dynamic steering is also available.

Furthermore, the 2018 Audi S4 comes with sporty elements that differentiate it from the standard A4. It features aluminum-optic exterior side mirror housings, a Platinum Gray Singleframe grille with aluminum-optic double blade bars, quad exhaust outlets, a rear trunk lid lip spoiler and S badging.

Other notable features include 18-inch five-double-spoke-star wheels with summer tires; full LED headlights, daytime running lights and tail lights; and power folding exterior mirrors with auto-dimming and heating.

Meanwhile, inside the high-performance sports sedan, standard equipment includes a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with shift paddles; eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, driver memory and heating function; S sport seats with diamond stitching, power side bolsters and massage function; and three-zone automatic climate control.

Benchmark technologies featured in the 2018 Audi S4 include a head-up display and the MMI infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Optional components include the Audi virtual cockpit and safety features like pre-sense rear and side assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go and traffic jam assist.
