PAX TV will air a special holiday broadcast of the Gospel Music Association's (GMA) 35th Annual Music Awards on Monday, December 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The GMA Music Awards is Christian music's biggest night of the year; bringing together artists from every style of gospel music came for a national night of music and celebration as the GMA bestows its highest honor – the Dove Award.

Hosted by gospel diva Yolanda Adams and NFL legend Deion Sanders, the GMA Music Awards were presented to a sold-out audience in Music City earlier this year. Joining them on the GMA Music Awards broadcast is an all-star line-up of Christian and gospel music artists and some of their biggest fans. Appearing are: Amy Grant, Bono, Byron Cage, Casting Crowns, CeCe Winans, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, Hezekiah Walker, Jars of Clay, Jeremy Camp, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, MercyMe, Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, Nicole C. Mullen, Out of Eden, Pillar, Randy Travis, Smokey Robinson, Smokie Norful, Steven Curtis Chapman, Switchfoot, Third Day, tobyMac, Vince Gill, actor Stephen Baldwin, Tennessee Titan Derrick Mason, teen shark-attack victim Bethany Hamilton, former American Idol finalist R.J. Helton and more. The show was produced by Nashville-based NorthStar Studios.

"The GMA Music Awards does what no other awards show does; it celebrates a tapestry of artists and music that share one common thread ... hope. Whether rock or urban, country or traditional gospel, the music showcased by artist performances and honored with Doves is entertaining and inspiring," said John W. Styll, president of the GMA and executive producer of the show. "We are thrilled PAX will broadcast the GMA Music Awards during the Christmas season -- a perfect time for this show to be seen by a national audience."

Founded in 1964, the Gospel Music Association is dedicated to exposing, promoting and celebrating the gospel through music. The GMA represents all styles of gospel music including contemporary pop, rock, urban gospel, praise & worship, Southern gospel, country and children's gospel music. The GMA produces the GMA Music Awards, which recognize achievement in all genres of gospel music and are voted on by members of the GMA.
