HP has been keeping people on their feet over when the second wave of $99 TouchPad tablets will be selling again.

For now, it seems to be the quiet before the storm. HP can fling open the tablet gates at any time and many fans, who so desperately want one, are keeping watch on both the official HP shopping website and the company's social media manager's Twitter account for the latest news.

On the previous post, it was mentioned that because HP was in the midst of re-distributing tablets across retailers, it would push re-selling back until either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Now, it seems that HP is trying to pull sales for the incoming second wave of tablets on its own, via HP Home & Home Office store.

"I don't have precise ETA on when more are coming in. Just that YES HP Home and Home office store will get some soon #touchpad," tweeted, Bryna Corcoran, HP's social media manager.

Re-stocking and then selling through giant retailers like BestBuy have not been mentioned so far.

Interesting updates since the TouchPad went on liquidation sale last Saturday:

1. Fake TouchPad selling website aired at http://www.hptouchpadsale.com
2. Call center phones at HP jammed due to a high volume of calls
3. TouchPad's alert site was down due to the immense traffic flow on Monday

HP last Thursday announced it was discontinuing production of the TouchPad as well as the WebOS, the mobile operating system run in the TouchPad. The company then announced it would start a fire sale to get rid of all TouchPads in stock , selling them at $99, which sparked an on and offline frenzy to purchase them.
