After Marriage-Shaking Blowup, Football Coach and Wife Find Healing - 'It's Only Something That Jesus Can Do' (VIDEO)

The lives of college football coaches are often idealized as the men who run multi-million dollar operations on campuses across the country. However, with the notoriety come long hours and road trips.

This was the sobering reality Dawn-Michele Teachey discovered when she married her husband Jack, a coach at Wofford University in Spartanburg, S.C. On top of that, she learned there was no real offseason in college football. Throughout the year, Jack worked while his wife and children waited at home.

"I used to tell him I felt like I was third or fourth or fifth on his depth chart," Dawn-Michele says in this NewSpring Church video. "And that I felt like a single parent."

The loneliness took its toll on Dawn-Michele, and she started going out like she was single, even accepting that she'd eventually cheat on her husband. The bond between the married couple reached the breaking point and they fought bitterly over the course of a weekend.

With his marriage on the brink, Jack heard about NewSpring from one of his former recruits. The couple attended an Easter service, and Jack responded to an invitation to follow Jesus.

"(I) realized I need to give not just part of my life, but my entire life, including my marriage, to Christ," Jack says.

The following week, Dawn decided to follow Jesus as well. They now read the Bible together and he prays over her. It was a new marriage, created from the ashes of their old hardships, where Jack is devoted to spending quality time with Dawn-Michele.

"To come from the depths of despair, the bottom of the pit, to where we are now, it's a miracle," Jack says. "It's only something that Jesus can do."
