'Agent Carter' Season 2 Cast News, Update: Hayley Atwell Teases About Dottie's Return; Star Talks About Her Character's New Love Interests

Despite the new location of operation, Hayley Atwell's titular character is still bound to come head-to-head with Season 1's baddie, Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan), in the upcoming second season of ABC's hit crime-fighting drama TV series "Agent Carter." Meanwhile, the series star confirms talk about the agent's new love interests, including a few "love triangles."

Citing the report from Enstarz.com, it is indicated that the Red Room Academy topper-turned-Soviet-assassin will continue its plans of destroying the SSR with Peggy along with it. On the bright side, at least Peggy is now quite aware that the blondie is someone to watch out for.

During the Canada's Fan Expo, the English actress told Comic Book Resources (via Enstars) that fans still "haven't seen the last of her," referring to Dottie.

"Peggy has male baddies that she fights, but to have someone who is physically her equal -- she's a Black Widow, incredibly capable and very smart -- I think that shows some balance for Peggy, like a flip side of the same coin. You'll see more of her in Season 2," Atwell tells CBR (via Enstars).

Joining the mix of the baddies are the Darkforce and Madam Masque. The latter is described in the comics as a "scientific genius" and a "robotics expert" whose interests often clash with members of the Avengers, most particularly with Tony Stark/Iron-Man.

In relation to the new setting, Atwell also pointed out some new interesting aspects of Peggy in Season 2. Having already gotten over Steve, the heroine can now be found "in a much lighter, happier place within herself" and one of the probable reasons is the influx of "new love interests."

"There will be lots of different angles," she went on to say. "There will certainly be more love interests and love triangles."

The crowd at the Fan Expo went on to ask about the show's current filming status. Atwell said that she only has read about "two of the scripts so far" and that they are "filming them at the moment."

"Agent Carter" Season 2 is slated to return midseason on ABC.
