During an in-depth interview with the showrunner, it was revealed that fans would be left figuring out as to which side the Inhuman is loyal to.

"What's nice about him is he's a wild card," Bell said. "You don't know why he is doing this — Does he have an agenda? Is he on somebody's side? So we'll be teasing that out over some episodes."

The comic books portray Lash as having a rather menacing appearance. Working with Glenn Hetrick ("The Hunger Games") and his team makes the live-action adaptation of the character much easier.

"They've been working with our makeup effects and visual effects people to come up with something that's pretty cool!" Bell went on to inform TV Line.

TV.com meanwhile shared some information on the extended synopsis for Season 3.

Citing Marvel.com, it is revealed that some time has passed and Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team are still reeling over the effects of their encounter with a rogue group of Inhumans.

Agent Coulson will also be preoccupied with the task of rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. and has to double his efforts as Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) has yet to return from her vacation.

Agent Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki), on the other hand, will be licking on the wounds inflicted to her by Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) back in Season 2 while Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) is pouring his efforts in finding out the truth about Simmon's (Elizabeth Henstridge) mysterious disappearance.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 is scheduled to return on September 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
