The 31-year-old took a short break from the spotlight after giving birth to her first child Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean on Oct 14 1020, and she is now reportedly eager to return to the music scene.

Keys has been busy working on her upcoming fifth studio album over the past eight months and she says that since taking a break from music, she has become a "different person."

"I've come to this place that the album is about to be ready and I feel just so crazy excited. It's like I'm a different person. I'm a new person. Everything is new, from being married and having a baby," Keys said in a personal video to her her fans which was posted on YouTube.

"I've become so much more intelligent and I survey the landscape more and try to come up with what's the best thing for me, what's the best thing for Egypt, what's the best thing for our family. I am hungry, I am an animal right now. I am just ready to be set free in a whole other way. When it comes to sharing this music with you, I am like a caged animal that's dying to escape," she added.
