'American Horror Story Hotel' Cast Rumors: Actor Max Greenfield Joins Show

While the upcoming chapter of FX's hit horror anthology TV drama series "American Horror Story: Hotel" is still getting prepped, an executive producer of the show shared yet another casting update.

Ryan Murphy said that actor Max Greenfield is now tied in to appear in the forthcoming horror TV show installment.

Going over to his social media, the show runner teased that the "New Girl" star's appearance would be "like you've never seen him." The Hollywood Reporter was quick to analyse Murphy's Twitter post saying that Greenfield's character could be involved in a fatal storyline when the executive producer said that the actor will be "checking in to the hotel … but not checking out."

Aside from "New Girl," the 34-year-old actor also starred in the network's hit romance-comedy series "The Mindy Project," which is now reported to be moving to Hulu for its upcoming season.

Greenfield will be joining a cast list mixed with newcomers and mainstays like Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.

As the subtitle suggests, the fifth season will largely take place in a haunted hotel. Earlier reports said that filming for "Hotel" will move back to Los Angeles from Louisiana, where the show shoot for the past couple of seasons, and will probably start in early July.

Speculations strongly points out that the story for "Hotel" will based largely on the real-life frightening 2013 tale of Elisa Lam who drowned in a water tank following a mysterious, thought to be paranormal, activity at the Hotel Cecil.

"American Horror Story: Hotel" is set to debut in October.
