The long awaited finale for American Idol Season 11 is finally here. The face-off between Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez took place on Tuesday night with three rounds of songs, with the results set to be revealed Wednesday night.

The first round of songs were chosen by Simon Fuller. The second round showcased tunes selected by the singers themselves among the top 24. The final round featured original songs written for the finalists.

Sanchez performed Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing", Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer" and the specially written "Change Nothing."

Meanwhile Phillips performed Ben E. King's "Stand By Me", Billy Joel's "Movin' Out", and an original "Home."

Both have won the hearts of Americans as they took the stage week after week throughout the season. But crunch time is here, so who will America choose?

Powerhouse vocalist in a "tiny body" Sanchez shared backstage on Tuesday night, "Of course we all want to win, but it gets to a point where nobody really makes it this far. I love that I'm with [Phillip] in the top two. It's amazing. He's goofy and he's funny and he is an amazing artist and an amazing person overall."
