Former American Idol finalist RJ Helton plans to release his gospel debut album Real Life on March 9, 2004. The album, recorded under Gospo Centric's B-Rite Music label, features songs Helton wrote as well.

"I am really excited that I am getting a chance to make the kind of record I have always wanted to make and happy to be with a label that understands my passion for music," says Helton, who was among the top 5 in the first installment of Fox Television's American Idol.

The Atlanta-born artist has appeared in several Old Navy commercials and has been sought out by many record labels, modeling agencies and film studios. Even though the future holds many offers for the 22-year-old ex-Idol, there is one thing he can be sure of.

"My faith is the one thing that has forever and will forever remain constant," said Helton.
