New doors are opening for Colton Dixon, the 20-year-old singer songwriter, who remained unabashed about his Christian faith throughout the American Idol Season 11.
Colton Dixon continues to touch the heart of many fans as he reveals a positive and motivated image despite his shocking elimination last week. Plans for a record and possible collaboration with former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry and Lifehouse's Jason Wade are unfolding.
Dixon, who believes that "God is going to use me for other things" told Eonline News, "Things are only going to get better from here. I'll be able to write my own music, put out my own music and America can connect with me though that. I want to do Christian music. That's where my heart's at. I grew up on it and that's who I took a stand for, that's what I believe in. I'm going to start writing as soon as they let me and get started on a record. I'm just excited to share a gift God gave me. It's all on His timing."
