CNN New Year's Eve 2015 Live Stream, Schedule Details: Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin to Host

CNN will broadcast the New Year's Eve celebration around the world with hosts Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.

The pair has hosted "New Year's Eve Live" for eight years and Cooper shared how it is like to work with Griffin.

"I'm always nervous when we're together. I never know what she's going to do, and inevitably, she does several things that are outrageous or shocking, and I spend the rest of the night thinking, 'Who am I going to have to apologize to now?' But it's always fun and I think it's fun for folks that are watching." Cooper said.

The hosts will be stationed at Times Square in New York to feature the ball drop extravaganza.

"It's actually kind of a magical place to be, particularly in those minutes right before the ball drops and in the 10 minutes afterward. It really feels like the city comes together, and you have a million people singing together, a lot of whom have been there for more than 12 hours waiting," Cooper added.

Cooper and Griffin will report the various New Year's Eve celebrations in US cities such as Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. The city has prepared for the CNN feature by constructing an outdoor stage for a guitar drop. Memphis mayor AC Wharton is excited about the celebration.

"Let me tell you, this will be our version of Times Square," said the mayor.

While CNN reporter Gary Tuchman will cover the Crab Drop in Easton, Maryland.

"Every year we try to find a different slice of Americana doing a different kind of drop. What people don't realize is that there are hundreds of places in the United States that drop things for New Year's Eve. Everyone knows about Times Square. But what we try to do each year is perhaps show something that the viewers around the world aren't aware of," Tuchman said.

CNN correspondents across the world will also report the New Year's festivities in other countries including London, Moscow, Beijing and Calcutta. Richard Quest will report from a cruise ship in the Bahamas.

CNN will air the New Year's Eve special live on Wednesday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (ET). Viewers may also watch the event trough CNN live stream.
