The Galaxy Note 8.0 was launched by Samsung earlier this year to compete with Apple's wildly successful iPad Mini, which is around the same size. One of the main selling points of the Galaxy Note 8 is its S Pen stylus accessory, which can also be found on the original Galaxy Note and Note 2. Samsung released custom made applications that work specifically with the S Pen as well.

It sports an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 189 ppi. This is a bit higher than Apple's iPad Mini's screen, which has 163 ppi.

Other specifications on the device include a 1.6GHz quad-core A9 processor, 2GB RAM, and special features such as Smart Stay that allows the tablet to recognize if the owner is still awake. This will make it automatically go on standby once the owner falls asleep or stops using it. It is said to be seamless and very responsive.

AT&T currently offers the Galaxy Note 8.0 for $399.99 with a new two-year contract. The carrier first made the device available on June 21 of this year. It is currently available in white and runs on the company's LTE network.

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Note 3. The next version of the Galaxy Note 8.0 will most likely be based on the new version of the phablet.
