Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update on Samsung Galaxy S4, Note 3 Neo Coming Soon

The Android L is nearing its unveiling by Google but still, the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update has not reached all Android phones. Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users are among some of those who are still waiting for the KitKat OS. However, only recently a roadmap was leaked that showed the alleged Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update schedule.

For the month of November, it seems that the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 LTE, and the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will be getting the updates soon enough with the status listed as "Final Testing."

Other devices will also be getting the update in November but it would seem that testing has not begun yet with the status of many devices listed as "Pending."

The devices with a pending status are the Galaxy S4 Mini Duos, the Galaxy S4 Mini, the Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, the Galaxy Grand 2, the Galaxy Note 2, and the Galaxy Note 2 LTE.

For this month though, it would seem that testing for the Galaxy S5 (model SM-G900I and SM-G900F), the Galaxy Note 3, and the Galaxy Note 3 LTE have finished testing with the status listed as "Completed." That would mean the update for these devices will be rolling out very soon.

Though the leaked document reveals the schedule for the roll-outs, there aren't any details regarding the update itself. The update will most likely be bug fixes, major security fixes, and overall performance tuning.

The update will be fairly large – at 300MB – so ensure that when the update does arrive, download it with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
