One of the things that caught the public's attention is the voiceover at the beginning of the clip. Earlier reports speculated it could be Benedict Cumberbatch or a new character who is most likely to become a villain.
To silence all speculations, actor Andy Serkis stepped out to shed light into the confusion claiming that the voice in the footage is in fact his.
"That is the character," Serkis revealed to Entertainment Weekly adding that the ominous voice is "organic" and that there's "no digital manipulation."

"I can say I only play one character," Serkis said.
Going back to the "weary, ominous voice" the actor was asked of what his character has been going through over the years.
"I have to be very careful about how I answer these questions. The character has "been through some stuff."
The publication went on to say that fans should wait for the right time before they will find out whether or not Serkis will be seen as himself or in CGI.
"I can't say a single thing about that. I'm sorry!" Serkis said. "These things will all come out in the fullness of time, I promise."
