Angelina Jolie has reportedly stopped wearing her $500,000 engagement ring because she dislikes the design, and in doing so has allegedly added tension to her and fiancée Brad Pitt's engagement.

Jolie met with Ecuador's foreign minister on April 22, where onlookers began to question why she was not wearing her 10-carat diamond ring- a piece personally designed by Pitt, according to In Touch Magazine.

"She isn't fond of it," a friend told In Touch. "Nothing against Brad's design. She's just never been enamored of white diamonds."

"Emeralds are her favorite," the insider went on, adding that Jolie claims that Pitt's design "shows how little he knows her. She's so demanding. She's acting like a bridezilla."

The couple of seven years recently confirmed their engagement after months of speculation.

"Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring," a representative, Cynthia Pett-Dante, told CNN.

While the couple is said to have been initially very excited about planning their upcoming wedding, recent reports suggest that they have now become embroiled in a bitter feud. Pitt, 48, desires to invite his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston to their wedding ceremony, according to OK! Magazine.

"Angie wants to invite her ex-husbands, Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller, as well as on-and-off lover Jenny Shimizu. Brad thinks it's completely disrespectful to him, but he stopped her dead in her tracks when he hit back, saying, 'Fine, then I'll invite Jennifer.' And that was the end of that discussion," a friend of the couple's told OK!

Jolie, 36, who shares six biological and adopted children with Pitt, met the actor on the 2005 set of their movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and reportedly began dating him, despite Pitt still being legally married to Aniston.

"We became friends on the film set but [the relationship] began after," Jolie insisted in a 2010 interview with U.K.'s Stylist magazine.
