Angelina Jolie Tattoo Added, Large New Inking In Arabic?

Angelina Jolie debuted a brand new tattoo while out in Sydney, Australia this week.

The latest inking joins 17 other tattoos that the actress has added, including Buddhist incantations, a giant tiger, and several quotes.

After arriving in Sydney last week, Jolie was spotted on Monday with a new tattoo featuring a long sentence written in was appears to be Arabic, according to the Daily Mail.

The new inking, located on the actress' inside right forearm, lies directly beneath a preexisting tattoo that reads "Determination" in Arabic.

Among Jolie's other tattoos is a quote from Tennessee Williams, which honors her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and inkings that indicate the birth dates and geographical locations where each of her six children were born.

Meanwhile, the Academy Award-winner is Down Under filming her second directorial project, "Unbroken."

The film follows the extraordinary life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic athlete who went on to become a prisoner of war during WWII.

Jolie made her directorial debut with "In the Land of Blood and Honey" last year, but "Unbroken" will mark her first take on a major studio film.

Furthermore, the Coen brothers have signed on as scriptwriters of the inspiring tale. Their script will be based on author Laura Hillenbrand's book "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption."

Although Jolie is busy with her latest project abroad, the actress can add another Oscar Award to her list of accolades this year. The Academy announced last week that the actress would receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the awards ceremony in November.

In 2000, the actress earned an Oscar Award for Best Supporting Actress with her role in "Girl, Interrupted;" but it is her work with organizations such as the UN and the Council on Foreign Relations that is being honored this time.

During the Nov. 16 awards ceremony, Jolie will become the youngest person and the seventh women to receive the Jean Hersholt humanitarian award.

Angela Lansbury, Steve Martin and Italian costume designer Piero Tosi will also receive annual lifetime-achievement awards at the Oscars in November.
