Animated Film Beautifully Portrays the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Like You've Never Seen (VIDEO)
On St. Patrick's Day, director and animator Dan Stevers posted this short film, "Son of Man," a gorgeous portrayal of Jesus' time on Earth.
Animated by Phil Borst, the film starts with a beaten and bloody Jesus dragging a cross through the street, on the way to his execution. But before proceeding with the crucifixion, the film jumps back to his temptation by Satan, a connection I interpret as highlighting the contrast between Christ (falsely) being offered the world and now living his final mortal moments experiencing the worst that world has to offer.
The wordless film continues to connect scenes of Christ's life, death and resurrection with such richness that the viewer is immersed in the beauty and single-mindedness of his work. Jesus came to do the work of his father, and that work was to save.
