Anne Hathaway Pregnant? Star's Rep Denies Report

Anne Hathaway's brother reportedly announced the actress' pregnancy over the weekend, but the claims were debunked on Wednesday.

Tom Hathaway, Anne's younger brother, was performing a standup comedy routine at Brooklyn's Tandem Bar and Restaurant when he allegedly broke the news of his sister's pregnancy.

However, Hathaway's rep has since denied the report, initially found in Star magazine.

"She is not pregnant," the rep told GossipCop.

The contradictory report alleged that witnesses at Tandem Bar and Restaurant heard Tom using his sister's personal life in his comedy act, including sensitive information.

"He said, 'My sister got married last year, and now she's about to be a new mom,'" an audience member claimed in Star magazine. "I don't think he realized that he had done."

However, Hathaway's rep also clarified that Tom was joking that "one day his sister would be pregnant and then he would be Uncle Tom," GossipCop reported.

Nevertheless, 30-year-old Hathaway did marry Adam Shulman during a ceremony on Big Sur, Calif. in Sept. 2012.

Moreover, the "Les Miserables" star has been vocal about her desire to start a family soon.

"I'm the only one here who's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon," Hathaway told The Hollywood Reporter during an interview alongside actresses Naomi Watts, Helen Hunt, Amy Adams, Rachel Weisz, Marion Cotillard and Sally Field.

However, Hathaway revealed concerns over having a child in the public eye and the paparazzi that comes with fame.

"I'm thinking about that because I really want to have a baby," she said. "My husband and I are like, 'Where are we gonna live?'"

Hathaway also discussed children with Vogue, saying, "Oh, my God, I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely."

The star and her husband live in Brooklyn, N.Y.
