Apple iOS 10 Jailbreak News and Updates: When Will the Jailbreak be Released by Pangu?

Every new iOS update, whether minor incremental updates or major ones, always comes with new jailbreak processes. The iPhone 7 lineup comes with the new iOS 10, which is now made available to other Apple devices. The jailbreak community is now looking forward to big names in the arena to finally get their take on the operating system.

Pangu Working on a Jailbreak?

Just recently, Apple has rolled out the new iOS 10 update to their mobile devices. As with all versions of iOS, the hacking community takes into their hands on how to crack the latest operating system. However, the jailbreak status for the iOS 10 remains largely unknown, despite the public clamor.

Pangu, a renowned and established jailbreaking entity, is said to be working on a public jailbreak for the iOS 10. Back in July, they did show off a working iOS 10 jailbreak that was based on its eighth beta version. However, word on the working jailbreak for the final and stable version of iOS 10 still remains scarce.

The Cracking Game

Jailbreaks for iOS 9.3.2 and iOS 9.3.3 have already been released by Pangu. However, as the team was working on a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.4, a new patched update came out. It is most likely that the jailbreaking team will not release a crack for iOS 9.3.4 and iOS 9.3.5 anymore, as the team may have been focusing instead on the newest iOS version.

Apple follows a certain cycle to patch known bugs and glitches in the iOS. These same bugs and glitches are the ones exploited by hackers for jailbreaking the device. As Apple is expected to release a new update patch sometime in the succeeding month, the pressure is on for Pangu to release the jailbreak before it is rendered useless. The same goes with other jailbreaking teams and individuals as well, as competition arises both among hackers and against Apple itself.

New Jailbreak?

Just recently, famed Italian iOS hacker Luca Todesco released a video showing a working jailbreak for iOS 10. Going by his online alias qwertyoruiop, he uploaded the evidence that shows vulnerabilities in the iOS 10 system that could be exploited by hackers.

Also based on Beta 8 of the software, the jailbreak works only on devices with 64-bit architecture. It would work only on devices that runs on an A7 processor or higher. This jailbreak was called yaluX, and it is still unclear whether it would make an official public release.

This jailbreak version is still full of glitches at best, and may render a device useless at worst. However, with teams working hard to best Apple in its own game, the public may soon get their hands on a new jailbreak for Apple iOS 10.
