"Ray is a businessman instead of a professor, more of an entrepreneur," the executive producer said. "Part of the fun is seeing how, or even if, a character reaches the end of that trajectory because as we've proven, we like to play around with it a bit."

Meanwhile, a new trailer has been released for "Arrow" season 3 earlier this month. It shows Oliver chatting over com with Felicity while going for a "high-speed chase."

Shots shifts to more action scenes including gunfights, arrow shootings, vase breakings, and more chases. It also featured the protagonist sharing a passionate kiss with Emily.

Also showed in the promo trailer is the introduction of ex-Superman's Ray Palmer introducing himself to the people of Queen Consolidated. Emily/Felicity has been shown giving an interested look to the newcomer.

"Arrow" will return for its third season in Oct. 8 on The CW. Confirmed reports pointed out DC Universe's radical supervillain Ra's al Ghul will be the main antagonist throughout the chapter. He will be played by Australian actor Matt Nable.
