'Arrow' Season 3 Release Date, Latest News: Cast Rumors Reveal Brandon Routh First Photo as Ray Palmer
Fans of the superhero and drama TV series "Arrow" already know that the show will feature new characters when it returns for its brand new season. Among the mentioned names are Brandon Routh to play Ray Palmer, who is also known as The Atom.
In a latest report by TVLine, they revealed some recent snippets of "Arrow" season 3 including the first pictures of Routh talking to Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak and Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen/Green Arrow.
The website further quoted executive producer Marc Guggenheim dishing out information about the incoming character.
"Ray is a businessman instead of a professor, more of an entrepreneur," the executive producer said. "Part of the fun is seeing how, or even if, a character reaches the end of that trajectory because as we've proven, we like to play around with it a bit."
Meanwhile, a new trailer has been released for "Arrow" season 3 earlier this month. It shows Oliver chatting over com with Felicity while going for a "high-speed chase."
Shots shifts to more action scenes including gunfights, arrow shootings, vase breakings, and more chases. It also featured the protagonist sharing a passionate kiss with Emily.
Also showed in the promo trailer is the introduction of ex-Superman's Ray Palmer introducing himself to the people of Queen Consolidated. Emily/Felicity has been shown giving an interested look to the newcomer.
"Arrow" will return for its third season in Oct. 8 on The CW. Confirmed reports pointed out DC Universe's radical supervillain Ra's al Ghul will be the main antagonist throughout the chapter. He will be played by Australian actor Matt Nable.
