At the moment, Tottenham are at the top of the table with three points, while Monaco have one point after the match.

The other two teams competing in the group are Belgium's Anderlecht and Qarabag of Azerbaijan.

Spurs won their first Europa League game at home against Qarabag. However, things did not go according to plan early in the game as they surrendered an early penalty in which Richard de Oliveira converted the spot kick in the seventh minute to give the guests the lead.

Then Heung-Min Son leveled the score for Tottenham in the 28th minute, before hitting his brace only two minutes later.

Already with the lead, Tottenham kept the pressure on and eventually got a two-goal cushion thanks to Erik Lamela's goal with four minutes remaining in regular time.

On the other hand, Monaco played away from home in their first match and were given Anderlecht at Brussels.

Anderlecht got the lead early after a goal from Guillaume Gillet scored in the 11th minute.

Trying to tie the score, Monaco finally got their breakthrough in the 85th minute when Lacina Traore scored his club's only goal of the match to share the spoils and take home a point in the match.

Now playing at home, Monaco should hope for a great start and prevent Tottenham from scoring early in the game for them to be able to set the pace and have a chance to get maximum points.
