Ashley Hebert on Sean Lowe Waiting Until Marriage: 'Not A Belief I Share'

Former "Bachelorette" Ashley Hebert and her husband J.P. Rosenbaum have a very different relationship than the latest "Bachelor" Sean Lowe and his fiancée Catherine Giudici. Hebert recently revealed that, unlike Lowe, she and her partner did not wait until marriage to consummate their relationship.

"It's a belief and we don't share it," Rosenbaum told People magazine. "Those are their own personal beliefs and we're not going to judge them," he said of Lowe and Giudici's decision to wait. "We do our thing, they do their thing."

Lowe, a Christian, was described throughout the season as a "born-again virgin" who wanted to wait until marriage before having sex with his partner.

"It's a decision that I've made," he told The Daily Beast, "but I don't think it needs to be discussed on the show. That's my personal opinion … for me, it's a non-story."

"From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time. Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right," Lowe told People magazine after announcing his engagement to Giudici. She has agreed to the arrangement and said she will "honor" him and his decision.

"More power to 'em! I admire people who can do that, you know what I mean? I'm not interested in it, but I think that shows a lot of strength. If they've decided they've spent enough time with each other that they're ready to go ahead and get married, I would say definitely doing it the way that we did it on TV was amazing," Hebert added. "Everything about the whole wedding process was seamless and simple and beautiful."

"I'm a guy. I'd go to the courthouse tomorrow if she'd let me," Lowe told People. "We just fit so well together; we both know it's right."

Yet Lowe and Giudici will be married on TV, following in the footsteps of Hebert and another successful "Bachelor" couple, Ryan Sutter and Trista Rehn. Viewers watched them prepare for their wedding and then exchange vows in front of family and friends.

No date has been set yet for the Lowe-Giudici wedding.
