'Assassin's Creed: Unity' Patch 4 Delayed for 'Rigorous Quality Control'

Ubisoft's Patch 4 for "Assassin's Creed: Unity" is set to be released on Monday, but Ubisoft has announced that the Patch release was officially put on hold.

According to the post made by the Live Update Team on the official website for "Assassin Creed," the developers were prioritizing "rigorous quality control" in order to appease their fans.

"We are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we've promised," the post read.
It explained that they were looking to deliver major performance improvements, refurbish the Paris map for the game and more, which will take a few days before they achieve the desired level of quality.

"Assassin's Creed: Unity" continues to struggle with numerous bugs and issues since it was first released to PC and consoles last month, and that struggle has never been more apparent as they hold back the Patch 4.

Ubisoft already released three previous major patches to address the game's technical problems and also released DLCs, or downloadable contents, of the game for free as an apology. With the Patch 4, they promised to fix Issues with stability, performance, freezes and crashes, as well as a fix for the matchmaking and connectivity issues that plagued the game.

However, with this delay, it seemed like the fix is still a long time coming and players will have to buckle down and wait for more news, especially as Ubisoft did not state a new date as to when the Patch 4 will be released. They also have yet to respond to requests for further comments.

In the meanwhile, Ubisoft recommended players to head to the ongoing forum threads to find out more and keep updated.

In related news, the free "Dead King" DLC that Ubisoft is offering in apology for players, as well as an extra free game for season pass owners, will be available this week.
