ASUS Zenfone 3S Max News: Phone Gets Rave Reviews for Battery Life and Sleek Design

The mobile phone arena is arguably one of the toughest competitions to be in, thus innovations are always in demand on a regular basis. It appears like ASUS has achieved a breakthrough accomplishment with the Zenfone 3S Max, and certain critics have shared their verdict on the smartphone.

Overall, the Zenfone 3S Max has received rave reviews for two of its main selling points, which is the battery life and the ergonomic design. Almost all critics share the same views on the two criteria, making it a victory for the brand.

Android Authority gives it an 8.1 out of 10, praising the battery life as its top feature. This is one hurdle that a lot of smartphones have a difficulty dealing with, yet the ASUS brand was able to tackle it with ease. With moderate use, it can be used without constant charging for two days, which is a definite plus for smartphone users.

International Business Times gave a 4.4 out of 5, and also shares the same thoughts when it comes to power usage. The presence of the Android Nougat 7.0 as its operating system also contributed to the power-saving capabilities of the phone, along with the multiwindow option that it provides.

Another plus point for the new Zenfone 3S Max is the fact that the fingerprint sensor and home button are all on the screen now, in contrast to how it was with the Zenfone 3 Max wherein it was found at the back. This makes it easier for owners to find the button rather than trying to grasp for it in the back with minimal to no lighting.

There are a few minor cons for the smartphone, however. News18 pointed out that the camera was not on par with that of competitors, saying there was a lag in the shutter response time. There is also negative feedback regarding the unit heating up when playing games continuously, although it is reassuring to know that it does not suffer the same combustion issues of the Samsung Note 7.

More details on the ASUS Zenfone 3S Max's price and availability are expected sometime in Feb. 7.
