Atlanta Falcons vs Tennessee Titans takes place on Saturday night with both the Titans and the Falcons still looking for the first win of their NFL Preseason 2013 games. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Titans come into this preseason game 0-2 having lost to both Washington and Cincinnati in recent weeks. Both games were extremely tight though and if the Titans can just iron out a few areas they should be in a position to start converting these tight loses into tight wins.
On Aug. 8 they hosted Washington but came out one the wrong end of a 21-22 result. Last week they traveled to Cincinnati for another close encounter but ultimately they came up short and lost 19-27.
Chris Johnson and Jackie Battle have led the Titans in rush – an area in they have done reasonably well, registering 134.5 yards on average over the two games, which ranks them 6th in the NFL in rush offense.
Their opposition tonight are also coming into this game with a record of 0-2. Atlanta lost their opening preseason game 10-34 against Cincinnati, before losing on the road to Baltimore 23-27 last week.
The Falcons have also been reasonable in rush offense, registering 131.0 yards on average over the two games – just short of the Titans' posting.
These two sides are quite evenly matched coming into this game, and both will be desperate to take advantage of opposition tonight who are lacking in confidence and whose heads could drop easily should things start going against them.
With just a few weeks now left until the regular season begins both teams will want to finally record a win tonight.
