The Atlanta Hawks and the Indiana Pacers will face off on Saturday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Round 1 series. This will be the third of four NBA 2014 Playoff games on Saturday, and should be an intriguing match up between the No. 1 seeded Pacers and No. 8 Hawks. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through free live stream (details below).
Today's game comes from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an opportunity for the Pacers to get themselves back on track.
Indiana are not a regular No 1 seed, and have suffered a tough time towards the end of the season. They will want to go back to their form at the start of the season, where at times they looked unbeatable.
However, as they enter the Playoffs this year they have dropped form to end the season winning just 17 of their last 33 games. That 17-16 record is a shadow of their early season form – on Feb. 7 they were 39-10.
The Hawks meanwhile successfully held off the threat from the New York Knicks in the push for the Playoffs. Atlanta won six of their final eight games to snatch the No. 8 seed spot. However, since Feb. 1 they have gone 13-23.
Atlanta has struggled somewhat offensively, and the team has not been able to consistently put points on the board. They must get everything clicking back into place now if they are to take down the No. 1 seeded Pacers.
The Atlanta Hawks against the Indiana Pacers will start at 7 p.m. ET and will be shown on TV on the ESPN network. The game can also be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.
