Madrid were featured in the final of the competition recently where they lost to their Spanish rivals Real.

On the other hand, the Catalans are the defending champions and are looking to march towards the final to lift the title one more time and add to their long list of achievements as a football club.

Their first meeting was an intense one at Camp Nou as it was filled with drama throughout the 90 minutes.

Atletico took the lead in the 25th minute thanks to a goal from Fernando Torres as the Spaniard took the shot on an assist from Koke.

Securing the lead and a crucial away goal, Madrid were threatening to upset Barcelona in the first leg, but Luis Suarez saved the day for the Catalans.

He broke free and finally saw the back of the net in the 63rd minute to tie the score between the two teams and then 11 minutes later fired another shot that would see Barcelona capture the lead late in the game.

They would go on and secure the victory, a big feather in their cap as they now try to finish off the second leg with another commanding performance to secure their place in the semis.

For Atletico, they need to win at home and try to stop Barcelona from scoring that away goal that will definitely swing the tide to their favour.
