August is 'Strengthen Your Family in God Month'

August has been declared “Strengthen Your Family in God Month” by USA Christian Ministries, which has provided free resources online to help families better strengthen themselves in God.

“What we provide is a free church bulletin insert, it’s based on Joshua 24:15; As for me and my house we will serve the Lord, and it will help every family get grounded in God,” said Steven Andrew, the pastor of USA Christian Ministries to The Christian Post.

The insert features attractive pictures, and can be included in any local churches bulletin, according to Pastor Andrew.

He also stated that it highlights key biblical principals regarding families such as how husbands should love their wives, how wives should submit to their husbands, and how children should obey their parents; based on the teachings of scripture.

Pastor Andrew and USA Christian Ministries offer various resources on a monthly basis, and August is specifically geared towards families in America.

“We’re making a strong Christian nation and getting the USA grounded in God and his word,” said Pastor Andrew.

His goal is for Christians to build a strong foundation on the rock of the church, Jesus Christ.

“The current church needs to become strong in Christ, we need to reground ourselves in the Bible and re-establish Jesus as Lord,” said Pastor Andrew.

And by strengthening families with resources pointing them to Christ, Pastor Andrew feels positive changes will start to occur in the U.S.

“Families are the foundation of the nation,” he said. “By making a strong Christian families we will be helping the USA be strong as a nation.”

The resources encourage families to make a commitment to serve God, to try to make marriages work, and for members of families to be patient with one another and forgive, along with reading the Bible together.

Another one of the goals is to get parents to train their children in the Lord as scripture teaches, according to Pastor Andrew.

Pastor Andrew and USA Christian Ministries are also encouraging Christians to enter a contest that requires them to create a 3-5 minute YouTube video incorporating Joshua 24:15 and Ephesians 6: 1-4.

The winners receive two copies of Pastor Andrew’s book titled, Making a Strong Christian Nation.
