Avril Lavigne Wedding: Singer Marries Chad Kroeger in 'Intimate' Ceremony? Stays Mum on Pregnancy Rumors

Avril Lavigne reportedly married Nickelback frontman, Chad Kroeger, on Saturday in Cannes, France, however sources claim the union will only be made official on Monday.

The 28-year-old punk/pop singer has spoke openly about her and 38-year-old Kroeger's wedding plans in recent weeks and reports claim the couple kicked off festivities on June 29. They will reportedly officially tie the knot in an intimate ceremony on Monday.

"[They're] technically not married yet," a source told Us magazine regarding Saturday's unofficial wedding.

"It is extremely intimate, just close friends and family," another source said regarding Monday's ceremony.

Lavigne, who sparked rumors of a pregnancy in 2012 after dodging baby questions, previously confirmed that she and Kroeger would host a memorable wedding day. Kroeger presented Lavigne with a 14-carat diamond ring in August while asking for her hand in marriage.

"I've been doing it, I'm the girl. I'm the one who has the crazy vision and he's letting me be me. It's a lot and I just want to make sure I really enjoy this amazing time," Lavigne previously said about the wedding planning.

"I want all the guests who come to have this once in a lifetime experience and I want everyone to say 'Wow!' and for it to be special for everyone, not just us," she added.

Lavigne previously dodged pregnancy questions at her Abbey Dawn fashion show in New York City.
When asked by a reporter whether she is pregnant Lavigne nervously responded with "Ahh … are you!?" before walking away, according to The New York Post.

The singer raised eyebrows while shooting the video for her latest single "Here's To Never Growing Up" in Los Angeles Sunday. Lavigne wore a puffy blue dress, which had fans wondering whether the maternity style was used deliberately to conceal a possible baby bump.
