'Bachelorette' Contestant Eric Hill's Siblings Speak Out: 'He's Defying Death,' Sister Says

Former "Bachelorette" contestant Eric Hill died in a paragliding accident not long after filming for the season wrapped, but now his time on the reality series has come to an end. ABC decided to show Eric leaving the show and paid him tribute by letting "Bachelorette" Andi Dorfman speak freely about her final moments with him. The producers dedicated this season to Hill's memory, and his siblings are speaking out about the impact it has had on them.

It's a "unique opportunity to watch him live on, and watch the world get to know him," Hill's sister Karen Tracy told Today.com. "In some ways, it's only fitting that he is defying death in this way. My brother always thought bigger and dreamed bigger than anyone I have ever known."

During this week's episode, fans saw Hill accuse Dorfman of being two-faced, which greatly upset her and caused him to leave the show prematurely. Yet instead of focusing on that, ABC decided to air something different – a personal discussion between host Chris Harrison and Dorfman about Hill's confrontation and how they left things. Dorfman said she definitely regretted their final encounter and would have liked to have had one more conversation to make things right.

"It's kind of a fine balance, I think, for anybody to deal with a situation like this," Hill's brother Scott told Entertainment Tonight. "I thought they did a fine job. I'd love to have an opportunity to sit down with Andi in person and kind of get her perspective off camera."

The Hill family is now dedicated to honoring Eric's legacy and have established a foundation, Live Like Eric, in his name.

"A day after his passing, my family went to the site where Eric fell from the sky," Tracy said. We watched the paragliders soaring overhead and imagined Eric enjoying his last flight. We remembered a man who had lived his life to the absolute fullest. The world was just not big enough for him."

"The Bachelorette" airs Monday nights on ABC.
