Rocksteady Studio's highly-anticipated action-adventure video game, "Batman: Arkham Knight" just had the latest add-ons that focus on Catwoman and Robin titled "Catwoman's Revenge" and "Robin: A Flip of A Coin," respectively.

Fans and critics alike expressed mixed feelings about the new character DLC of the game with the most prevailing issue pointing out its depth and value.

Reports have said that the character additions received a lot of praise, but critics were quick to point that apparently, the new contents are quite "shallow" and "too straightforward."

On the plus side, the publication said that the DLCs were able to uphold the superb visual qualities that the vanilla game had when it came out. Nonetheless, the new stories were quite "mediocre" and some have commented that fans may begin to lose faith in the franchise.

There's nothing really new in terms of level of design as it appears to be very similar to what gamers already saw and played in the previous levels of the game. These give way for the players to complete the new games "without much trouble" as they appear to be "not that challenging at all" and that it only requires "basic approach to complete."

Kotaku.com shared its first-hand review of the DLCs and it is quick to mention the redeeming qualities of the new content. As said by the website, it is the set of "new environments [that] is the best thing about these latest downloadable offerings."

The site however pointed out how the characters, both protagonists and antagonists, "offer little snatches of dialogue that give players droplets of story and seasoning." Apparently, this shortcoming is quite common through all the past DLCs of the franchise, the publication wrote.

Kotaku reiterated that the loose narrative of "Catwoman's Revenge" and "Robin: A Flip of the Coin" has failed to "satisfy any Bat-fan's hunger."
