Batman Arkham Knight Game News: Action Figure Gives Away Major Game Plot Spoilers

Rocksteady Studios' upcoming action-adventure video game "Batman: Arkham Knight" still has months to go before it will hit the shelves for current-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as on Windows PC.

Fans of the Batman: Arkham series franchise may already have some vague ideas on the game's plot line. However, this recent news about a limited edition statue surfacing online may have inadvertently given away a major spoiler that could surely dampen the spirits of its players. Here's what we heard:

A report from IGN.com indicated that an image of the "Batman: Arkham Knight" Limited Edition statue was spotted on an Amazon UK listing. Citing Videogamer.com, the picture showed that of a figure which apparently depicts the Dark Knight standing over a miniature version of what seems to be Gotham City.

At the base of the statue, a sign reads: "From a Grateful City In Memory of the Gotham Knight." After the news made out online, the sign was then replaced with a spoiler-free phrase "The Gotham Knight."

IGN went on to say that regardless of the alteration, the site's Amazon's product description still indicated the same message as it reads: "an imposing Batman memorial statue commemorating Gotham's protector, the Dark Knight."

This clearly suggested that the masked hero may end up dead in the trilogy's explosive finale.

There's still no official statement from both the studio and the retail store about the incident.

As previously reported, "Batman: Arkham Knight" is the third and final installment of Rocksteady's Batman game series. The game will be released this June 2.

Meanwhile, the merchandise mentioned comes with an additional steelbook case, an artbook, a comic book, and character skins pack.
