'Batman: Arkham' News: Kevin Conroy Says That There Will Be No Sequel

Developed by Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros., the "Batman: Arkham" series gained a lot of recognition during its run. Although the gaming community was looking forward to more titles from the combo, Kevin Conroy, who is behind the voice of Batman, has confirmed that the publisher is set on ending the series with the latest installment titled, "Batman: Arkham Knight."

The disappointing news came during a question and answer portion held at the Wizard World Nashville. The event was specifically made for the fans of the hero, and many were expecting Conroy to tease about future titles that the game developers may have cooked up since the last installment was released. Conroy decided to deliver the blow, when asked if Warner Bros. will be releasing another title.

"I can't believe that they're not going to do another one, but they're not," says Conroy, as reported by PC Games N. "They made literally billions of dollars on those games. But no, there's no plan to do another one."

The announcement was met with clamor from the fans, who would have loved to see the crusader's journey at least one last time. However, many speculated that the series was about to end as the story left off at a pretty good note in "Batman: Arkham Knights." Although the end of the series was well-written and expressed, fans and critics thought that there were side stories that had the potential to make up another title.

So far, the list in the series is as follow: "Batman: Arkham Origins," "Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate," "Batman: Assault on Arkham," "Batman: Arkham Asylum," "Batman: Arkham City," and "Batman: Arkham Knights." There was also a virtual reality version that was released.

The games are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Gamers are encouraged to experience the titles in hopes of convincing the game's publisher that a sequel will be well worth the effort.
