Battlefield 4 China Rising Expansion Already Littered With Glitches and Server Errors

Battlefield 4 released a non-exclusive expansion pack called China Rising to all of their Premium members today and some have already experienced technical issues.

"While exploring new battlegrounds in the Battlefield 4 expansion, China Rising, you may run into an occasional hiccup, issue, glitch, or problem that could interrupt or prohibit your gameplay," posted the Battlefield team on an EA Games help site.

Complaints from gamers so far have included being dropped from their servers immediately when trying to play the pack. Exclusive to the Xbox 360 version, players can't join servers or play the game. Another problem includes gamers not being able to download the pack until Dec. 17 despite it being out.

in order to download the new pack, Battlefield 4 owners have to first download a patch that fixes many of the glitches and errors in the game already. So far the update is available for the Microsoft consoles and Windows PC, with the Sony consoles coming soon.

The update fixes a "one-hit-kill" bug that multiplied damage on a single bullet as well as audio bugs and crashes. A patch for the PS4 was released last week for that version of the game.
DICE said the update "should further decrease the amount of crashes and increase the overall stability of the game."

This patch will fix crashes that happen when changing weapons and maps, according to Polygon. It will decrease the chances of a corrupt save file, single-player campaign crashes, connection errors for PlayStation Plus and better performance when shooting destroyed Levolution objects.

"We will continue to increase stability going forward, stay tuned," read a post from DICE. The company recently said they are not proud of the launch problems the game had and are vowing to make the game perfect.

"I am extremely proud of the people at DICE and everyone across EA that contributed to the development of Battlefield 4," said Karl Magnus Troedsson, general manager at DICE. "However, I am less proud to see that the game has experienced some turbulence during the launch period. While some platforms have had only minor problems, others have had more than their fair share of issues. Resolving the launch issues is our #1 priority."

Battlefield 4 was released on Oct. 29 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, the PS4 on Nov. 15, and the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
