Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus 2017 News: Actor Drops by 'Saturday Night Live' to Support Producer Girlfriend

After being absent from the star-studded after-party for the "Saturday Night Live" season 43 premiere last week, Ben Affleck dropped by the studio over the weekend to support his girlfriend, Lindsay Shookus, who is a producer on the show.

The 45-year-old "Batman" actor was photographed as he showed up in a casual attire, with a dark blue shirt, light blue leather jacket, and a pair of jeans. Shookus, on the other hand, was spotted in a patterned dress and a black leather jacket.

Affleck and Shookus first went public with their relationship in July and have reportedly been spotted out and about in New York over the past months. Just recently, the two went on a casual date at an art gallery.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a source revealed that the couple were holding hands and were "very affectionate" with one another on Monday.

"It seemed as though Lindsay was doing the shopping, but everything she was considering buying, she looked to Ben for his opinion," the witness told the news outlet. "He had his iPhone camera out and was taking pictures of her and the art. It was a very casual, down-to-earth date. They were like any other couple checking out a gallery," the insider added.

The couple also attended the recent Emmy Awards together, wherein the 37-year-old "SNL" producer took home an award for Outstanding Sketch Variety Series for the show.

It can be recalled that Affleck, who separated with former wife Jennifer Garner in 2015, completed his treatment for his alcohol addiction earlier this year. They filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage.

In March, he reportedly wrote in a Facebook post: "I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step."

Affleck and Garner share three children and have been co-parenting after their separation.
