Beyonce Atlantic City Show First Since Blue Ivy Carter Birth

Beyonce Knowles commenced her three-day concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, offering a performance which many are saying shows she is back to her best following giving birth in January to daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

Her last performance was at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards last August, at which time she famously announced she was expecting.

Beyonce told the 5,500 fans packed into the Revel Resort's Ovation Hall, "I gotta say, it feels so good to be back home on stage."

The Revel Resort's Ovation Hall was also marking its opening day, and is celebrating its opening in style, attracting the popular singer to give a series of three concerts over the weekend.

Beyonce's shows will continue until Sunday and not surprisingly all concerts sold-out in advance, and within hours of going on sale.

Friday's show had an opening act of R&B singer Luke James. After his performance warmed up the crowd, Beyonce was seen in silhouette, on a large screen hanging over the stage.

Beyonce's set included popular songs such as "End of Time," "Love on Top," "Get Me Bodied (Extended)," "Baby Boy," "Crazy In Love," "Diva," and "Naughty Girl," which was a tribute to the late Disco Queen Donna Summer.

Beyonce also delighted fans by singing "I Will Always Love You" as a tribute to the late singer Whitney Houston. She also performed "Halo" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" for her last two songs, with the singer reportedly wearing a custom-made dress by London design house Ralph & Russo.
