'Big Brother 18' News, Spoilers, Updates: With HoH and PoV, Will Nicole Franzel Have the Deciding Vote?

The countdown to the Big Brother 18 finale has begun.

Every decision each houseguest makes is more crucial than ever as they're beginning to feel the pressure in playing the game right. This time around, it's Nicole Franzel who has to worry about choosing the right allies after winning two straight comps that basically put all the power of the BB18 house in her hands.

As previously reported, Nicole won Head of Household after withstanding all the other houseguests in a wall endurance comp. James, Natalie Negrotti and Corey Brooks are in an alliance with her (or at least James and Natalie seem to think so), so James threw the comp to Natalie in exchange for safety and for her to get a letter from her mom.

To keep her promise, Nicole put up Michelle Meyer and Paul Abrahamian up on the block, to James and Natalie's relief. But little do they know that Nicole and Corey had already made an alliance with Paul and Victor Arroyo, who are currently the strongest players in the house.

Power of Veto

As reported by Joker's Updates, Nicole also won Power of Veto last Saturday which would give her the power to save a nominee. She said she wanted to work with their new allies, but also wanted to stay loyal to James and Natalie. It seems like the latter won over as she opted not to use the Veto Power to save anyone off the block, which means Michelle and Paul remain nominated for eviction.

Meanwhile, her showmance half, Corey Brooks, has yet to use America's Care Package which gives him the ability to bribe any houseguest with $5,000. He could use the Care Package to urge a houseguest to vote a certain way or throw him a comp.

Nicole's grand dilemma

The problem with all of this is that, either way, Nicole needs to break off an alliance one way or the other. So far, the numbers are pretty conclusive: Victor and Corey are likely to vote out Michelle, while Natalie and James are likely to vote out Paul. This means Nicole will likely have the deciding vote.

With the Care Package yet unused, Corey has an equal opportunity of affecting the turnout. Corey has stated explicitly that he wants to keep Victor - and by extension, Paul. He can bribe either James or Natalie to throw Michelle under the bus, or Nicole to vote Michelle out should the time come.

Either way, the showmance duo has all those powers in their hands while they're stuck between two reasonable alliances. Which one will they honor?
