Billy Graham Debuts Devotion Reading Plan on YouVersion Bible App

Billy Graham has launched a new daily, one-year reading plan through YouVersion Bible App featuring biblical wisdom and practical advice, derived from decades of Graham's sermons and writings. The reading plan features content from his popular devotion, Day by Day with Billy Graham, in an easy-to-read, easy-to-share format aimed to supplement app users' daily scripture readings.

"Billy Graham, through his more than 70 years of evangelistic preaching and writing, is known for proclaiming the truth of the Gospel around the world," said Ken Braun, chief of staff for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). "His teaching is credible, consistent and reliable. Just as his ministry today, everything always points to the cross and the hope that we have through a relationship with Jesus Christ."

The launch of the reading plan also coincides with YouVersion's fifth anniversary and 100-million downloads milestone, which has earned recognition from Apple as one of the top 100 free apps in three consecutive years. In addition, YouVersion reports that more than 9.5 million daily reading plans have been completed in the past five years.

"YouVersion's Bible app is one of the most popular apps available. Having Mr. Graham's content in the hands of so many people is a great opportunity. We are excited that millions of people around the world will have access to Mr. Graham's devotions." said Braun.

Braun also noted that through YouVersion's outreach, the BGEA hopes that Graham's message can be accessed by those who might not have an alternative way of connecting with the material, which Will Graham, grandson of Billy Graham and associate evangelist and vice president of the BGEA, agrees with.

"My grandfather has always been on the cutting edge when it comes to technology," said Will Graham in a statement. "He pioneered the use of radio, television and motion pictures in evangelism, and we are seeing a tremendous impact today through the Internet and reaching people on mobile devices…"

In addition to the daily devotion, the BGEA also has its own app of devotional content, sermons and television specials, including Graham's classic Hour of Decision programs.

Graham's ministry is also gearing up for the "My Hope America" campaign slated for this Fall. Over 16,000 churches throughout the United States have held meetings as part of the movement for pastors and leaders to learn more about how to maximize a nationwide evangelistic outreach in their own congregations.

This Fall, Graham will turn 95-years-old and his latest book, The Reason for My Hope: Salvation will also be released.
