Black Friday 2015 Rumors: PlayStation 4 Might Drop Down to $299
When the PlayStation 4 came out in 2013, it was priced at $399.99. Recently, Sony announced that the game console will now be just $349.99. Gamers and holiday shoppers are now excited since there might be another price drop this coming Black Friday.
According to Technology News Extra, Sony plans to match Microsoft's strategy in dropping the prices of its console, just like what Microsoft did with the Xbox One console. Since Xbox One's launch, consumers have seen two price drops. The website even said that Sony might offer the cheapest PlayStation bundle this holiday season, for only $299.
John Koller, VP for Platforms Marketing at Sony, teased fans about the price drop in their official blog. "Since the launch of PS4, we have been thrilled with the amount of gamers jumping into the world of PlayStation for the first time. If you haven't made the jump yet, and you're starting early on your holiday wish list, I have good news — we're dropping the price of the PlayStation 4 system in the U.S. and Canada," Koller said, following the initial price drop from $399.99 to $349.99 last week.

Game experts are expecting more discount for new and old customers, especially this coming Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. "PlayStation has always been to provide the best gameplay experiences at the best value, and we feel this new compelling price will open the doors to even more gamers that have yet to purchase a system," Koller added.
Inquistr added that since the price tag of $299 for the PlayStation console on Black Friday is most likely to happen, buyers can expect more discount by using a gift card. Most retailers offer $50 gift cards buyers can use on their shopping, which will make the PS4 purchase down to just possibly $249 with a gift card.
Fans can't wait to see how "low" the PlayStation 4 will be offered this Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.
