'Black Panther' movie updates: Black Panther seen on set of 'Captain America: Civil War'

Photos of Black Panther with the cast of "Captain America: Civil War" were recently posted, giving fans a first look into the main character of the upcoming "Black Panther" movie.

The new superhero was seen in Berlin shooting scenes for the upcoming installment of the "Captain America" franchise. Played by Chadwick Boseman, the new character will be a vital role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The photo revealed a stuntman wearing Black Panther's costume, which consists of a full black outfit, along with a panther headpiece, chasing down Bucky Barnes. Reports by Screen Rant explained that Black Panther's armor will be made of the same metal of Captain America's shield called Vibranium.

The Real Stan Lee also shared some trivia about the character. It was reported that "Black Panther" was first seen in "Fantastic Four" No. 52 comic book, as the first black superhero ever. It explained that there were rules concerning the portrayal of African Americans on comic books during those times.

Black Panther will debut in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie, which will premiere on May 6, 2016. It will feature Chris Evans as Captain America and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.

In an interview with Birth.Movies.Death, director of Captain America: Civil War Kevin Feige explained his plans for the new character. He said, "The reason we introduced him in Civil War is because we needed a third party. We needed fresh eyes who wasn't embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Iron Man or Captain America. We said, 'We need somebody like Black Panther... why don't we just use Black Panther?"

Feige also added that Black Panther will also deal with his own purpose, while mediating between the conflict of Captain America and Iron Man. Black Panther, also known as T'Challa, is supposedly still in the early stages of his superhero role.

Black Panther is expected to hit theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.
