'Blue Bloods' Season 5 News: Donnie Wahlberg's Character to Have a New Boss, Oct. 24 Episode Plot Revealed

"Blue Bloods" is currently in its fifth season, and the hit CBS drama hasn't lost its touch as it has earned a lot of fans, including some very big names connected to the White House.

In an interview with CBS News, cast member Donnie Wahlberg revealed that when his wife, Jenny McCarthy, interviewed Hillary Clinton on "The View" last year, as soon as they were off the air, Clinton turned to her and said, "Oh my gosh! Bill and I watch 'Blue Bloods' every Friday night. We never miss it."

Wahlberg said that a lot of fans can relate to the family dynamic of the Reagans on the show. The Reagans are a multi-generational family of police officers dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Wahlberg plays detective Danny Reagan, and Tom Selleck plays the family patriarch, N.Y. Police Commissioner Frank Reagan. Rounding out the cast is Len Cariou as Henry Reagan, Will Estes as Jamie Reagan, Amy Carlson as Linda Reagan, and Bridget Moynahan as Erin Reagan.

"I think if you come from a big family, you get it," said Wahlberg to CBS News. "You can sorta relate and you can connect that way … I think what really makes it special are the dinner scenes … This is just like the old-school traditional family and you know, they still exist."

Wahlberg also said that there will be some changes as Danny will have a new boss.

"Danny has had a long relationship with his boss, Sgt. Gormley. There's going to be new sheriff in town … And it's a she," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Reagan family is set to deal with more issues when "Blue Bloods" airs its next episode on Oct. 24 titled "Loose Lips."

"Jamie is targeted by a vengeful thug after he intervenes in his abusive relationship with his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Frank must deal with a political scandal involving insensitive comments made by Henry that were illegally recorded and leaked to the press," the synopsis reads.

"Blue Bloods" airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
