Blue Ivy's Hair Sparks Petition, Debate and Comments From Tamar Braxton, Syleena Johnson, KeKe Wyatt

Blue Ivy Carter, the 2-year-old daughter of singer Beyonce and rap mogul Shawn "Jay Z" Carter, is the topic of conversation after a number of people had comments to make about her hair.

The famous baby was pictured arriving in New York City with a hairstyle that became a topic of conversation. Syleena Johnson, the 37-year-old R&B singer from R&B Divas, seemed to poke fun of the toddler on V104.

"She's giving me ODB," Johnson said, comparing the child's hair to that of the late rapper from Wu-Tang Clan who usually wore his hair in an unruly style.

KeKe Wyatt, the 32-year-old singer who also appears on R&B Divas, did not have an issue with Blue having natural hair, free of chemicals used to straighten it. However, she did suggest that something else could be done to the child's hair.

"Ain't nothing wrong with being natural," Wyatt said on V103. "I got natural, but you still got to grease natural and comb natural and wash and condition and then you won't have the beadiage."

Tamar Braxton, the 37-year-old singer who also stars on Braxton Family Values, insisted she was not trying to offend Beyonce or Jay Z when suggesting that Blue Ivy's parents take advantage of products that would enhance her hair style.

"It just needs some product. That's it. No shade," Braxton said on V103. "I have a nephew who has really, really curly hair like this. It ain't that bad."

A change.org petition has been created, petitioning for Blue Ivy to "Comb her Hair." While over 1,500 people signed the petition at press time, some disagreed with it.

Beyonce previously let it be known that she feels beauty is about more than appearance. The 32-year-old singer has been vocal about the lessons she is teaching Blue Ivy and said the most important one will not be about outward appearance.

"My biggest thing is to teach [Blue] not to focus on the aesthetic," Beyonce previously told People magazine, the publication that named her the most beautiful woman in 2011. "It's really about who you are, and the human being, that makes you beautiful."
