Bobbi Kristina 'Admits Wrongs' After Angela Bassett Rant

Bobbi Kristina is issuing an apology after ranting about actress and director Angela Bassett's refusal to cast her in a film about her mother, the late Whitney Houston.

Houston's biopic is coming to the small screen next year directed by actress Angela Bassett. Houston, the 48-year-old recording artist and actress, died in 2012. Now Lifetime is ready to release a film based on her life.

After Bobbi Kristina, 21, revealed that she wanted to be cast as her mother in the film, Bassett told Entertainment Weekly she did not consider the budding entertainer to be an actress. Bobbi Kristina took to Twitter to respond in an expletive filled rant, but decided to apologize.

"I'm a young women that can admit her wrongs. 4who was offended I apologize BUT understand me before your quick to judge though," she tweeted. "Your Choices&Decisions are the ONLY things you have to YOURSELF in life &You won't know how important those things are until they're taken."

The statement comes after Bassett spoke about her reasoning for not casting Bobbi Kristina in the upcoming film.

"I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she's not an actress," Bassett said of Bobbi Kristina. "I know she's acted here and there. I know she's been on their family's reality show, but she's not an actress and acting is a craft."

The actress and director went on to reveal why a strict shooting schedule led to her casting an experienced actress.

"It's an attempt to illuminate the complexities of human behavior and life. And this is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story," Bassett explained. "It's more than just saying lines and turning the light on. You have to drive the story— there's a technical aspect."
