The body of an Oklahoma mom, who had been reported missing since last week, has been found in the trunk of a car, according to police sources on Tuesday.

Ebony Jackson's body was found in the trunk of her car in St Louis, according to Breckenridge Hills Police. The vehicle was located in the 4400 block of Elmbank in North St. Louis on Tuesday morning.

A frantic search had been conducted to find Jackson after her three month old baby was found alone at an apartment complex last Friday, according to KWTV News. A family member has spoke out, saying: "Now we know that there is no doubt that Ebony was in the St. Louis area. That removed the doubt that was planted there," according to KWTV.

Another family source also added, "It's just totally out of character for her to be in a neighborhood like this, or just the car being in a neighborhood like this."

The family has also confirmed that they suspect foul play in Jackson's death, and St Louis area police are currently investigating.

Numerous reports have stated that Jackson had a fiery relationship with her baby's father, although he has not at this point in time been named as an official suspect. The baby's father is in St Louis and has reportedly been attempting to bring the baby back with him to Oklahoma.

According to police, Jackson has been in trouble with the police in the past, and had been arrested three times since 2005, including for assault and battery on a police officer.

The other two cases of arrest involved theft, most recently in November 2012 for stealing from a Wal-Mart store. In that incident reports describe that she had attempted to use a baby stroller to smuggle out merchandise from the store, and was arrested as she left.
