'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations': Trailer Reveals Resentment Between Boruto and Naruto
"Naruto Shippuden" may have already come to a close, but that doesn't mean fans won't get to see their favorite ninja again. Next week, "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will make its way to televisions to continue the saga, only that this time the focus will not be Naruto but his son Boruto.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" will follow Boruto Uzumaki as he adapts to his new life in the ninja academy and learns more about his father's legacy. The synopsis for upcoming series reveals that things won't be easy for Boruto, especially when his acquaintances at the ninja academy learn that he is the Hokage's son.
The newest teaser for the series proves that there is a bit of resentment between Boruto and his father. In the trailer, Boruto is shown saying, "It's not about being the Hokage's son or about my stupid dad! This is my story, ya know!" as the others mock him for being the son of Naruto.

Since "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is set before "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," the young boy has not yet patched things up with his father at this point in the story. When the new series opens, Boruto is not even a genin yet, so the burden of having to be scoffed at for being the son of Naruto is just too much for him to bear. However, the trailer also shows Boruto saying "dattebayo," hinting that he only needs some time to get through.
The synopsis for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" reads:
"The leader of the village is, the seventh Hokage. Boruto is the son of Naruto Uzumaki, to become a ninja must enroll in the school 'ninja academy.' But the students in the surroundings see Boruto with prejudiced eyes for the thing of being 'the son of the seventh Hokage.' However, Boruto has unprecedented capabilities. Boruto will meet new friends, and there will be an incident mystery how he will face this challenge, inside the heart of the whole team, now the story of 'Boruto Uzumaki' begins."
The new series will also focus on Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, and Orochimaru's artificial child, Mitsuki.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" premieres on April 5 on TV Tokyo.
