Bose QuietComfort 35 II News: Headphones Equipped with a Dedicated Button to Trigger Google Assistant

Modern day technology has allowed for many features that highlight accessibility as their main selling point. Although most smartphones and speakers are now equipped a virtual assistant of their own, Google has decided to take a step toward the future with the latest Bose headphones.

"Your Assistant is already available to help on phones, speakers and more. But sometimes you need something a bit more personal, just for you to hear," said Google's product manager Tomer Amarilio in a statement. "To help with those "in between" moments, together with Bose, we're announcing headphones that are optimized for the Assistant, starting with the QC35 II. So now, you can keep up to date on your messages, music and more—with headphones that you've paired with your eligible Android phone or iPhone."

The Bose QuietComfort 35 II has a dedicated button to trigger the Google Assistant. Users need only set up the headphones through Bluetooth and follow the instructions that were programmed into the Google Assistant. The feature is only accessible to smartphones that are running on Android Marshmallow or later, as well as to those who own Apple's iPhones.

Once the feature has been properly set up, users can hold down the button long enough to hear Google Assistant filter through the headphones. It can read messages, play music, sift through news, and call people. It can also do what the Bose Connect is able to do as it can change the noise cancellation settings of the headphones.

The Bose QC35 II with the built-in Google Assistant is now available at $349.95. It will be released in the U.S., Australia, Canada, Germany, France, and the U.K. It features 20 hours of battery life and a fast charge feature that gives 2.5 hours on a 15-minute charge. It also supports a volume-optimized equalizer that allows users to experience the best quality of music at any volume.
