Boxing News 2016: Juan Manuel Marquez's Coach Says Bradley Won't Do Much Vs. Pacquiao; Roberto Duran On Mayweather Jr

Juan Manuel Marquez's chief trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain believes that the outcome of the rubber match between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley will likely end in the Filipino boxing icon's favor.

Pacquiao and Bradley will be facing each other for the third time in April at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It is also the same place where they had their first two fights in June 2012 and April 2014. The said fight will also be Pacquiao's 66th and final fight.

Beristain recently spoke to ESPN Deportes (which was reported by Miguel Rivera for Boxingscene). According to the 76-year old veteran trainer, Bradley would not be able to emerge victorious over Pacquiao, even with Teddy Altas now in his corner.

Atlas and Bradley began working together in late October. Their first fight together was against former world champion Brandon Rios in November. Bradley stopped Rios within nine rounds of the said fight.

Beristain also noted that Pacquiao's reason for choosing Bradley as his final opponent was to avoid ending his career with another loss.

"In addition to being a good fighter, Pacquiao is a responsible fighter, professional," Beristain said. "He is not going to walk away [from boxing] with a loss, so he chose Bradley."

Meanwhile, boxing legend Roberto Duran is a recent addition to the list of personalities who have a few words for retired undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In another report by Boxingscene, Duran spoke to ESPN Deportes about what he thinks would happen if he fought against "Money May." According to the 64-year-old Duran, Mayweather's shoulder roll defense would be ineffective, as he believes his style would shut it down.

"If Mayweather would have fought with me, I would have busted all of his ribs - because I wouldn't have anything to [hit by throwing to the head]," Duran said.

Mayweather retired in September with a record of 49-0 (26 victories by knockout).
