Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorce News 2017: Jolie Opens Up About How She's Coping With Split
For the first time in months, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie finally had a sit-down and talked about her divorce from actor Brad Pitt in an interview with BBC about her Netflix film project, "First They Killed My Father."
The couple announced their separation in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences with reports of child abuse and substance abuse on Pitt's side. Jolie has also requested for full custody of their children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Pitt, however, has already been cleared from the child abuse charges.
Jolie mentioned during a BBC interview in Cambodia that it had been "a difficult time" for them since the split. However, she also shared that they will always stay strong as a family. "We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it," she said.

Jolie was in Cambodia to promote "First They Killed My Father," a Netflix movie she directed about the Cambodian genocide retold through the eyes of a child. Her children were involved with the production, especially Maddox - Jolie's first adopted child of Cambodian descent. The movie premiered on Netflix this weekend.
As to how she is coping, Jolie answered that the family is trying to familiarize itself with the new setup at home. "Right now, I'm going through a moment when just everybody's in my room," she said, adding that there are "two dogs, two hamsters and two children at the moment."
"Usually, I just wake up trying to figure out who's going to get [the] dog out, who's going to start the pancakes and did anybody brush their teeth," she says
The Hollywood actress and humanitarian also wishes that hopefully, in five years' time, she will see her children being happy and doing lots of interesting things that she will be supporting.
She hopes that her children will also see the right things she represents - not just through Hollywood, but through experiences around the world that can help them become well-rounded people.
